This resource will support a classroom based topic on the Second World War.

Using original objects from the 1940s to deliver a range of suggested activities students will learn about real people and their experiences of living through the war years in Britain.

Students will gain valuable insight into aspect of life including air raids, rationing, make do and mend, and many of the hardships people faced. Students will gain knowledge and understanding of where the people and events of the Second World War being studied fit within a chronological framework.
