Concealed Shoe Documentation Volunteer
Main purpose of role:
The museum is home to the International Concealed Shoe Index which records all deliberately concealed shoe finds from across the UK and from other countries. The role would include adding all find information on to an excel spreadsheet and all paperwork and photographs collated and placed on file.
Main duties:
- Picking out pertinent information from shoe find documents
- Adding information to an excel spreadsheet
- Filing all documents related to the find
- Answering questions about information in the Index if required
Location:
Northampton Museum and Art Gallery
Approximate time commitment and duration:
Day of the week to be confirmed
Half to one day per week.
Useful skills required:
- Experience of basic computer work
- Attention to detail and procedures
- Ability to work on own initiative or as a team
- Good written skills
- Interest in shoes and superstitions
Training provided:
You will be required to attend an induction session.
Excel spreasheet training provided
