Queen Victoria's wedding shoes

These shoes were worn by Queen Victoria on her wedding day.

Her wedding day was 10 February 1840. She married her cousin Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha in the Chapel Royal St. James, London.

To compliment her white satin dress trimmed with Honiton lace she wore these flat-soled shoes with ribbon ties. The makers Gundry & Sons, 1 Soho Square, London were officially boot and shoemakers to the Queen.

Queen Victoria's shoes can be found in the curved case in the shoe gallery
