Donating to the decorative art collection
The collection is open for donations with a focus on British and Oriental ceramics as well as works by UK studio artists including Northamptonshire artists.
We would welcome donations of your cherished objects or artworks that support these themes.
Active collecting supports the following themes which is based on the Collections Development Policy:
- Studio pottery from contemporary artists including Bernard Leach, Michael Cardew, Lucie Rie, Hans Coper, Alison Britton, Ruth Duckworth, and Jill Crowley
- Studio pottery from local Northamptonshire artists
- Plymouth porcelain
- Oriental ceramics
- Factory or studio glass not represented in the collection
- Local souvenir or other social historical ceramics
- Studio pottery by female artists and/or is representative of female, gender and LGBTQTIA histories
