Painting the landscape with Lee Burrows

Join us for this day-long workshop where you will use oil or acrylic paint to create your own landscape painting, led by Northamptonshire artist and art tutor Lee Burrows.
The workshop will cover laying down the basic foundations, the structure of the painting, applying colour, working from thin paint then adding thicker paint, texture and highlights.  Lee will give advice in composition, colour mixing and paint application, whilst encouraging you to consider the reasoning involved that highlights the key elements in the work produced. The aim of the course is to give you the knowledge and confidence to continue painting under your own steam. Open to adults of all experience, whether beginners wishing to learn how to paint with oils or acrylic, or more experienced artists looking to improve their technique.

Tea and coffee will be provided. Please bring a packed lunch or lunch is available to purchase from the museum cafe. Price includes basic materials. You will be informed of any extra materials to bring upon booking. Adults only.
