In this painting Fiddes creates a collage of Goya’s famous paintings, several of which Fiddes saw when he visited the Prado in 1958. |
|
Also included in this pictorial collage are Fiddes own experiences from the Kowloon Riots and Belfast. This painting is part of Fiddes’ Gods and Heroes painting series, with each painting showing a different person that has inspired him. Francisco Goya is arguably the greatest artistic influence on Fiddes. |
