Walter Potter was a taxidermist who was well known for his stuffed animal dioramas. Here squirrels and stoats are presented as shoemakers. It was created by Potter in the 1860s. This scene was displayed in the window of Curtis – a bespoke shoemaker and repairer at 107 Bostock Avenue, Northampton. |
