In October 2024 we asked individuals, groups and community organisations from across the county to join us as Guest Curators for our exhibition A History of Northamptonshire in 100 Objects as part of our Arts Council England funded project to explore and share histories from Northamptonshire's past. 

We have been inundated with suggestions for objects and stories to feature in the exhibition and for interested individuals, groups and community organisations to be involved as Guest Curators.

The submissions are now being reviewed by the museum advisory panel and we will be finalising the chosen 99 objects and stories in the next few weeks. The chosen guest curators will then be working with us to research and create their stories for not only the exhibition but also the planned website, exhibition book, app and podcast series, whilst we will also start to explore other ways that groups, locations and individuals can get involved in the Histories of Northamptonshire project over the next year. 

Additionally, there will be another opportunity for people to get involved in choosing our final 100th object to represent the story of Northamptonshire today so look out for more information about that in the coming weeks.
