Our spaces
The Central Hall and The Link
The Link space, joining the original museum to the Old Gaol Block, provides a striking setting for a drink’s reception and entertainment, whilst the Central Hall is ideal for dinners, receptions, conferences and special events.
The Central Hall is fully equipped with a sound system and digital projection, including 270-degree projection for a unique, immersive experience.
Capacity
• Seated dinners - up to 100 persons in the Central Hall
• Theatre-style - up to 150 persons in the Central Hall
• Informal receptions - up to 200 persons in the Link/Central Hall and cafe spaces
The Studio
The Studio offers a more contained space, ideal for meetings, workshops and training sessions. This intimate room provides a comfortable, professional setting for up to 60 guests, making it perfect for team away days, seminars, board meetings and creative workshops. With its quiet, focused atmosphere away from the main museum spaces, the Studio allows you to make the most of your time together whilst still enjoying the inspiring backdrop of this remarkable historic building.

• Theatre style- up to 60 persons.
• Meeting style- up to 30 persons.
• Banquet style- up to 25 persons.
Food and drink
We pride ourselves on offering outstanding service throughout your event. We work with our café operator and highly experienced catering partner, The Lewis Foundation, to create bespoke menus tailored to your needs, whether you're planning a formal banquet or an elegant canape reception. Using the finest ingredients, locally sourced where possible, they ensure every menu is ethical, sustainable and seasonal. From business breakfasts to afternoon teas and gala dinners, they deliver delicious food to suit all tastes with a strong focus on local products, producers and suppliers
Unlike many venues, we do not require you to use our in-house caterer and are happy to accommodate your preferred catering supplier.
