This week, our time-travelling adventurer is heading to a bustling Victorian shoe factory, bringing Northampton’s rich shoemaking heritage to life through hands-on activities, fascinating stories, and interactive fun. Discover what daily life was like for the men, women, and children who worked in the town’s famous footwear industry and meet a character straight from Victorian Northampton.
Get up close to real historical objects, try on period clothing, and take part in a range of Victorian-inspired crafts and games that the whole family can enjoy. Learn about the skills, tools, and traditions that helped make Northampton renowned around the world for its shoes.
