This week, our time-travelling adventurer is journeying to the First World War, bringing history to life through hands-on activities, fascinating stories, and interactive fun. Meet a soldier from the Great War and discover what life was really like for those who served on the front line and supported the war effort at home.
Get up close to real historical objects, try on period military clothing and equipment, and take part in a range of First World War-inspired crafts and activities that the whole family can enjoy. Learn about the experiences, challenges, and remarkable stories of the people who lived through one of the most significant events in modern history.
Ask questions, handle artefacts, learn new skills, and experience history in a way that’s engaging, memorable, and fun. No two visits are quite the same when the Hitchhiking Historian is in town!
