Get up close to real historical objects, try on period clothing, and take part in a range of medieval-inspired crafts and games that the whole family can enjoy. Learn about the people, skills, and traditions that shaped everyday life, from merchants and craftspeople to knights and nobles.

Ask questions, handle artefacts, learn new skills, and experience history in a way that’s engaging, memorable, and fun. Find out how people lived, worked, travelled, and entertained themselves in a world of castles, markets, and royal pageantry.

No two visits are quite the same when the Hitchhiking Historian is in town!

Suitable for all ages. Drop in throughout the day and discover the sights, sounds, and stories of Medieval England.
