Immersive Yoga
Location: Northampton Museum & Art Gallery
Date(s): Tuesdays 13 October – 10 November 2026
Time(s): 6 - 7pm
Cost: £8.80 per session or £35.20 for the series

Join us for an immersive yoga series where movement, sound and imagery melt together in the museum’s awe-inspiring Central Hall. This series will be led by our new instructor, Kai, whose welcoming and inclusive teaching style makes the sessions accessible to all levels of experience.
Cocooned within a 270-degree projection of colour, film and sound, the flowing practice provides you with the ideal opportunity to be transported away from the day-to-day and cultivate a deeper awareness of body and mind.
Led by Kai, you’ll be guided through a sequence that moves at a deliberate pace, bringing breath, postures and mindful pause together in a rhythm that honours your individual body. With thoughtful modifications and progressions offered throughout, the class is welcoming and beneficial for all levels – from curious beginners to seasoned practitioners.
Each week takes a single idea from the overarching series theme – from philosophical to spiritual to movement patterns – as its thread. Something to act as an anchor whilst on the mat, and for you to carry with you when off it.
What to bring:
- Yoga mat
- Yoga props (if you practice with them)
- Water
