Andrew Carter

I create innovative photographic artworks that combine photography with engineering, physics and craftsmanship. My abstract spiral images are made using a unique photographic harmonograph that I designed and built, producing intricate light recordings that are entirely photographic rather than computer generated.

I also create floral studies using specialised lighting techniques that reveal remarkable colour, transparency and detail, and lenticular works that change as the viewer moves. Drawing on a technical background, I blend art and science to develop distinctive visual experiences. All of my work is professionally printed and framed using archival-quality materials.
