Michael Leaman

I have lived in Northamptonshire for more than 50 years and, since retiring, have painted many of its landscapes from my studio in Great Doddington. After studying Art and Design at Rochester College of Art, I enjoyed a successful career in book design with leading publishers. My work has evolved through continued study and experimentation, with a focus on the graphic shapes, patterns and colours found in nature. Working mainly in gouache and watercolour, I also paint coastal locations around Britain. I have exhibited widely, receiving several awards, including an NROS award in 2024 and a solo exhibition at Floor One Gallery, Rugby.
