Angela Parker

Angela Parker is a Scottish artist from Edinburgh who now lives and works from her studio in Mears Ashby. Working across painting, sculpture, jewellery, printmaking and poetry, she embraces a wide range of creative disciplines. For this exhibition, she has explored new approaches to painting, using mixed media and acrylics alongside her more familiar watercolour and ink techniques. Her work celebrates the beauty of everyday natural subjects, including sunflowers and rhubarb. After a lifelong career in nursing, Angela fulfilled her ambition to study art, graduating seven years ago with a First Class Honours degree in Fine Art.
