I have been a chainsaw and power tools woodcarving artist for some 17 years now. I carved mainly wildlife trying for a level of realism that got me to national competition standard both here and in the USA. There followed many commissions in local Parks for sculptures, benches and chairs. It's been a fun roller coaster ride of highs and lows but the time has now come to focus on making smaller wood carvings. These start with a chainsaw but become inserted with coloured glass taking them to the next level. Owls and bears remain a main theme and I enjoy bringing them to life in clay in much the same way as I once did with a chainsaw.
