His focus focuses on finding the best local foraged wood that has fallen due to natural circumstances and is within walking distance from his house. Each piece aims to balance the unique properties of each piece while allowing the forms to flow in natural ways. Jack’s work blends the use of traditional crafts and Heritage tools with modern craftsman techniques. The aim of each piece is show how unique wood can be used.
Each piece is finished with a homemade, food safe finish which is a blend of local Beeswax, boiled Linseed oil and the Essence of Lemon.
