Using our extensive collection of objects related to shoe making, key stage 2 students will develop an understanding of the many processes of making shoes by hand. |

Students will be taken through the different parts of the shoe, the extensive processes and tools that a shoemaker uses to create the finished product. This resource has been designed to support teachers to meet the requirements of the National Curriculum by providing resources that add value to the teaching of 'a local history study'. Northampton has a long history of shoemaking and this session is a perfect introduction for children. |
