NMAG is working with Brackley, Weston Favell, Daventry and Towcester libraries to engage with audiences across the West Northamptonshire area. New exhibition areas within each library are hosting exhibitions developed with local community groups and will also be an important part of the History in 100 Objects wider exhibition programme. |

Follwing our October Exhibition celebrating Black History Month our new library exhibition is Shoe Stories. Highlighting some of the 18,000 shoes that form part of the shoe collection and complementing the current museum exhibition Shaped by Shoes which explores the impact of the shoemaking industry on the county the library Shoe Stories displays explore the stories behind the shoes we wear - from their meaning and purpose to their role as fashion icons. The exhibition is on in Brackley, Daventry, Towcester and Weston Favell libraries now until the end of February 2025. Each library display is changed on a monthly basis so do take the chance to visit and see all four. |
