Yarn: Any red double knitting weight yarn is suitable. You will only need a small amount.

You will also need either a small round piece of black felt or a black button.

Needles: 4 mm

Instructions:

Cast on 8 sts

RI: K1, kfb, k4, kfb, k1 (10sts)                    

R2: K

R3: K1, kfb, k6, kfb, k1 (12sts)

R4: K

RS: K1, kfb, k8, kfb, k1 (14sts)

R6-8: K

R9: K1, kfb, kl0, kfb, k1 (16sts)

Rl0-12: K

Rl3: K1, k2togtbl, k10, k2tog, k1 (14sts)

Rl4: K

Rl5: K1, k2togtbl, k8, k2tog, k1 (12sts)

R16: K

RI 7: K1, k2togtbl, k6, k2tog, k1 (10sts)

Cast off

Weave in loose ends. Sew the black button or felt circle onto the centre of the poppy
