In this facilitated session using objects from our handling collection students will learn about family life in Tudor times.

Students will be challenged through the use of range of original and replica objects to draw evidence based conclusions about life in Tudor times. They will develop an understanding of domestic life, the experience of children and medieval clothing.

Key stage 2 (KS2)

1 hour

35 students maximum per one hour session

•  a study of an aspect or theme in British history that extends pupils’ chronological knowledge beyond 1066
• the changing power of monarchs
• understand how our knowledge of the past is constructed from a range of sources.
• understand the methods of historical enquiry, including how evidence is used rigorously to make historical claims

We ask schools to follow NSPCC guidelines as outlined in our terms and conditions.

Once you have booked your visit with us you will receive a copy of our resources that can be used on gallery and in the classroom.

£220 (plus mileage) for 1 session, £320 for two sessions, further charge for additional workshops
