This watercolour showing a street in Rouen, France shows local artist Thurston Laidlaw Shoosmith taking inspiration from artists of the past.

This sculpture is of a character from the Canterbury Tales, written by Geoffrey Chaucer in the late 1300s.

These pugilists, bare-knuckle boxers, figurines were created to commemorate the 1810 and 1811 fights between Gloucestershire heavyweight boxing champion Tom Cribb and the challenger, American Tom Molineaux.
