Museums

Sunday 3 April, 11am – 3pm
Join the Bifrost Guard for Viking fun at Abington Park Museum. There will be combat demonstrations, information about how Vikings lived, lots of crafts to get involved with including shield, sword and axe making as well as dressing up.

In conjunction with the exhibition Valhalla at Northampton Museum and Art Gallery.

Activities

Outside the museum there will be a Viking Camp with coin stamping, leather working, whittling and necklace making.
Inside the museum there will be object handling, Viking food, sword making, axe making, helmet and shield making and finger puppet making.

Viking Combat

This will take place outside the Museum at 12pm, 1pm and 2pm

If the weather does not permit alternatives will take place indoors.
