Explore Northampton's new town story though film at Northampton Museum and Art Gallery on 6 and 13 November 2022.
Throughout 2021, 60 miles by road or rail explored Northampton’s largely untold new town story through an arts, heritage and community project which examined 50 years of the town, its political journey and amplified stories of the many people who migrated to the town. Through multiple strands, the project provided numerous entry points for people to get involved, through pop up events, our theatre production, photography, co-creation, oral histories.
During Summer 2021, we filmed a documentary about Northampton’s new town story. It was made in collaboration with Eight Engines and features local Northampton residents talking about their personal experiences and opinions of Northampton as a New Town and its legacy on the town today.
