Art: The Visual and Sonic Work of Paul Archer

Friday 8 August

Northampton Museum & Art Gallery
£12.50 per person
“Art”… A series of shows which explore Paul Archer’s artworks and music.
In support of new works both visual and sonic, each show will feature examples of Paul’s paintings, an interactive discussion about the work and art in general and an intimate live performance of new music which will be released on the forthcoming album Art early August 2025.
As an abstract artist Paul has been deeply inspired and influenced by the intuitive expressionist work of Mark Rothko, Jackson Pollock, Barnett Newman and more recently Gerhard Richter.
As of 2024 Paul began to exhibit his paintings and combined this with musical performances and an interactive discussion regarding his art and art forms in general.
Paul is a singer songwriter and musician and has been so for over thirty years, writing for Hollywood movies such as the 2006 Aquaman, Mercy Reef and critically acclaimed movie A Patch Of Fog, as well as giving his voice to five tracks on Snow Patrol’s multi-platinum selling Eyes Open album.
Paul’s music is an expression of his desire to communicate themes of empathy, light, understanding, love and hope, and a reflection of our shared struggles and triumphs in life. To date Paul has released nine albums, with the tenth Art due for release on 6 August 2025.
