Spooktacular Half-Term Fun at Northampton's Museums

Families in Northampton are in for a treat this October half-term, with a host of exciting and educational activities taking place at Northampton Museum & Art Gallery and Abington Park Museum.

From spooky crafts to historical storytelling, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

Halloween Pop-In - Wednesday 29 October, 12 – 4pm

Northampton Museum & Art Gallery invites families to drop in for a frightfully fun afternoon of Halloween-themed activities. Children can get creative with spooky crafts, enjoy creepy colouring, and take part in ghoulish games. This free event requires no booking and promises plenty of seasonal fun.

Halloween Trail – All Week During Opening Hours

At Abington Park Museum, families can take part in a self-guided Halloween trail throughout the week. Young visitors will hunt for hidden pumpkins and goulish ghosts, to solve eerie clues, and uncover spine-tingling facts as they explore the museum's exhibitions. The trail costs just 50p and is available during regular opening hours. No booking is required.

Fun with Naseby Battlefield – Thursday 30 October, 2 - 4pm

History comes alive at Northampton Museum & Art Gallery with a special event focused on the Battle of Naseby. Children can meet a soldier from the past, hear captivating stories about the historic battle, and create their own clay portraits. This engaging and educational event is free and open to all, with no need to book.
