This painting is the work of John Bratby (1928-1992). He is arguably best known for his 1950s scenes of domestic life, when he was a member of the Kitchen Sink School.

The Cabbage Patch is the work of local self-taught artist John Gilbert Donley (1886-1959). Donley was a founding member of Northampton Town and County Art Society and the museum is home to many of his works. 

This garden scene is the work of George Samuel Elgood (1851-1943) who is recognised as a pioneer and master of the garden picture.

This painting is the work of important British artist Sir Frank William Brangwyn (1867-1956).

This depiction of the medieval castle, Chateau Galliard in Normandy, is the work of locally important artist Sir Alfred East (1844-1913).

This landscape painting of Church Street in Boughton is by George Herbert Buckingham Holland (1901-1987). Holland, a locally important artist, was one of the founding members of Northampton Town and County Art Society.
