As the leaves turn and the air grows crisp, Northampton Museum & Art Gallery is inviting adults to embrace the season with a vibrant lineup of hands-on workshops designed to spark creativity, celebrate tradition, and build new skills.
Sunflower Ceramic Workshop
Saturday 30 August | 10am–4pm | £65
Led by ceramicist Carol Jacobs MACD, this joyful clay workshop is perfect for beginners and curious creatives. Participants will craft sunflower-inspired plaques or platters using terracotta clay, guided through essential hand-building techniques in a relaxed, supportive environment. Finished pieces will be professionally fired and returned for collection.

Landscape Painting in Oils
Saturday 18 October | 10am–4pm | £65
Artist Cordell Garfield leads this one-day introduction to oil painting. Working from a reference photo, attendees will learn how to map out landscapes, mix colours, and apply paint using a structured, step-by-step approach. Suitable for beginners and improvers alike, each participant will leave with a completed landscape painting.

Christmas Pudding Workshop with Carmela Sereno Hayes

Kick off the holiday season with a culinary celebration led by Italian food writer Carmela Sereno Hayes. This festive workshop includes hands-on preparation of Parmigiano Reggiano biscuits, winter berry tiramisu, jam-filled crostata tart, and Carmela’s signature Amaretto & Cranberry Christmas pudding. All ingredients are provided, and participants will take home their creations to bake or steam.

Luxury Wreath Making with Emma Remington Flowers

Celebrate the season with a classic wreath-making experience using lush forest foliage, pinecones, moss, and festive accents. Led by Emma Remington Flowers, this workshop teaches the art of wiring and design, allowing each participant to craft a unique 12” wreath to take home.
